Where does Darlo get his inspiration?
Darlo likes to show other people what he experiences himself. So if it's a comic strip he'll put a personal touch to it in the story, or relate characters to people he knows or has met. As for photographs, he's just lucky my phone has a camera!
What languages can Darlo speak?
Darlo can get by in English, being that he's from Shropshire . He could just get by in French, but also at college he learned the odd bits of Italian, Spannish, Swedish, Mandarin. In September he'll be going up to Leeds to study Japanese at University.
Is Darlo a weapons instructor?
Darlo doesn't like the term 'weapons' because it signifies violence. He is qualified to instruct beginners in Archery, Fencing and Air Rifles though.
Is it true Darlo drives to work a different way than he comes home?
Yes. Telford Town Centre has a one way system around it so he finds it easier to come home a different way.
What is Darlo's favourite space on a Monopoly board?
Whether it's Monopoly or real life, Darlo is quite partial to 'Free Parking'.
Is Darlo really a member of the World Rock Paper Scissors Society?
Yes. In 2005 he was on the Official UK RPS Team (thanks to Channel 4s Richard & Judy) and we went to Canada for the World Championships. Though Darlo wasn't very successful on a global scale he was so chuffed with the tournament and it's organisers that he joined the society! You can see them here.
Is it true Darlo lived in a porta-loo once?
Those of you who have rubbish cars will sympathise with him on this one. In December 2004 Darlo entered a radio competition to try and win a car. To do this he had to live in one of five porta-loos (there were 5 contestants in total) for up to a week and with a Big Brother style eviction the last one won the car. Darlo came 2nd.
Did I see Darlo on Sky One the other night?
I don't know, did you? When Darlo was 19 he appeared on a show called Little Monsters and apparently they've been re-showing them.
