Darlo is still very new to drawing anything, let alone manga. He was mainly put off when a school teacher told him that no one ever makes money in the art industry, good to see teachers encouraging their students. This said, Darlo has been enjoying anime and manga for many years, his first anime being Ninja The Wonder Boy which he saw back when he was still a baby. With the help of some friends, old and new, on and offline, Darlo's been slowly gaining skills with manga and has developed a new found enjoyment for drawing. In your face old teacher >_<.

Telford Expo EntryFor AppleTreeYaoiAt the recent Telford MCM Expo, Darlo entered the manga contest. Here was his creation!

This is a gift for AppleTreeYaoi. She's done plenty of pieces of Darlo's characters so he thought he'd return the favour. It also gave him the chance to keep practicing his manga style for his FMP aswell as trying a new eye method (thanks to Haré & Guu).

30 Minute GuuAll I Want For ChristmasA quick drawing of Guu whilst Darlo was on a short break.

This was Darlo's entry piece for a Christmas and New Year Competition. He had to design a one page comic, but because Darlo's not a Christmas celebrater, he thought he'd show that people can't always get what they want.

GraduationSomething Out Of NothingTo celebrate his best mate's graduation, Darlo conquered his utter hatred of pencils (and pencil crayons), and made an awesome gift.

This comic was a first Darlo me in so many ways. It was the first time he'd ever tried toning, making a full (fictional) story in a comic form, and successfully used a pencil/pen combo. Also the way it was created was pretty weird also. A prop was needed for the 'Comic Sans' project, so he started by drawing the panels with no intention of fully using them, then he drew Anna on the far right (again not knowing what he was drawing until it was done). After he got bored waiting around so Darlo just drew the first panel contents...then the next...until before he knew it he'd done the whole thing!
