Monday 28 April 1.20am

Ok. I've just got back from a fun night out at OK Karaoke with the Leeds University Japanese Society. Allow me to sumarise my day.
Study, study, study (all this study is programming coursework by the way), study, Japanese work, Japanese work, karaoke, sing, drink, toilet, drink, sing, toilet, leave, strip club, leave, catch up with friends, trip over (major toe stub), pizza, home.

24th April 2008 - 9:30pm

Yeah, I know, no updates. Well what can I say, I've been working hard at Uni lately (honest!). At this moment I sit here here eating four fishcakes between cramming more kanji into my head whilst working on a Python program. For the record, Python sucks. Something else that really sucks; my ability to react. I've found that when I'm thrust unexpectedly into a situation that requires me to speak Japanese, it seems like all 22 weeks of lessons just dissappear in an instant (sorry about that Takewa-sensei T_T). Oh yeah, if you like scary looking Kanji, get a load of this 34 stroke beast, 䯂. It means a large number of horses travelling in a line. Anyway, back to work. Later folks.

10th April 08 - 3pm

I've been pretty slack lately. With all of the work that needs doing for Uni, it's been pretty tricky. I did find a song on Songs To Wear Pants To.com's website that talks about it perfectly.

Ok, first of all I'd like to give a massive thanks to Amoryl for doing this awesome piece of art for me. Well not just that, but he actually posted the original to me all the way from America! He is what I consider to be a legend.

Finally I am going to end on a little bit of a rant. As most of you know I've been far from happy with Leeds University's accommodation department, and how unproffessional the Leodis site manager is (in my opinion). Well now I would like to spread that disgust to one of the site's contractors, H2O Chemicals Ltd. It seems that this company will allow it's staff members to draw on doors (the signs on doors, rather) when access to the room isn't available to them. Yesterday on my door "Cock END" (highlight area to see) was written by a member of H2O staff. When I went to see my site manager about it today he wouldn't listen, and instead put the blame on my flatmates. For him to say my flatmates to have done this is like saying that every English person speaks fluent French and personally knows the queen, they're just not that kind of group. Anywho, a message to anyone thinking of studying at Leeds University, "Do it! Come! The University's awesome and has helped me learn so much. However, if you go into Uni Accommodation, don't expect any help, sympathy, and in some cases acknowledgement, from the managerial staff."

Wednesday 2 Apr - Almost half past 7

I've sorted out the photography section of the site, as well as updating a few links and so on. I've also archived all of March's entries, so this page loads quicker. You can still see them by clicking the link on the left, or here. My next job will be the digital art section, but for now, it's Pancake Time ^_^.

Weds 2nd April 08 - 5pm ish

Well April Fools Day has come and gone, and thankfully I didn't get fooled. Sorry to Viv who I woke up early ^_^. Last night I made a batch of pancake batter with no instructions or measuring tools. I cooked some today and they were pretty good. However, somehow when I go to flip them they create a vacuum between the pancake and the pan. Could I have created scared pancakes that don't want to be flipped?
On Drunk Duck I've launched my Barry Scott's Maple Story comic. For those who don't know, Barry Scott is a character who over enthusiastically promotes Cillit Bang cleaner. Maple Story is an online RPG (Role Playing Game) where you go around hunting monsters and chatting to other users. This comic combines the best of both worlds.
Finally since I've arrived back in Leeds my sleep situation has drastically improved. I've found myself going to bed earlier and getting up at about 7-8 without an alarm clock. Admitadly a couple of those days I just felt tired at about 4-5pm and took a nap, one which I didn't get up from until the next day.
Before I go, a quick shout-out to Matt who's been sleeping since 12 ... lazy.
