Man it's been a long day. On Sunday we (me & Viv) did a car boot sale. Not too bad but I ended up break my watch at th end of it which truly gutted me. Those of you who know me know how naked I feel without it T_T. Anyway, on to tonight ...

It actually started yesterday when after work I had some errands to run which resulted in me not getting into the house until early evening. I then had to bring my telly down (no easy feat) to the living room and try to make sure I could hook up the laptop to it for tonight (Shrotaku club meet). After success I took everything downstairs so that I could get it after work today.

I managed to get out of work bang on 5pm (with Shrotaku starting at 6) and got home as quick as possible. Unfortunately I'd forgotton that I work on one of the towns busiest industrial estates and many people quit work at 5. I quickly loaded the car up and shot off to Shrewsbury as quick as I could. I managed to get to Infinity & Beyond with just enough time to set up and have a banana milkshake (very tasty). After a cool night of anime I unloaded the car and ... well, this is as far as I've got.

Yeah, I'm tired Z_z

Yes folks the rumours are true ... I've got a job. In fact I started yesterday. I won't give full details except to say it's on Stafford Park industrial estate, and is only temporary.

Next Wednesday Shrotaku's having an anime club meeting! Come on down to Infinity & Beyond in Shrewsbury and you can join the fun of the anime viewing. Full details can be found on the Shrotaku website.

I've also added a new review! Manga School With Selena Lin is the best how to draw manga book I've seen so far. Oh! And I've got a new video online that I've not got around to putting on here (yet). Head on over to YouTube and watch as Sean Friswell Gyamballs his laptop!

15th July - 20:30

I went to see a house today with my sister. With the exception of the dead cat, two graves and memorial mound in the garden, the place was fantastic.

For those of you who have seen the new Muller advert, you'll have seen not only bits of my county but also my nephew. Click here to see the advert (Rio's at about 30 seconds in).

7th July - 23:45

I've just got back from hanging out with some friends from Shrewsbury. Nothing like spending hours playing hide and seek in a dark Shropshire forest. We also did some filming for a show that I made up (details to follow when we finish editting). Right that's all for tonight. I'm going to play a little online poker and watch Ricky Gervais before I go to bed ... crap ... I need to clear off the bed ... T_T.

3rd July (again) - 3:45pm

I've just added a few of the store images to the random pics. BUY!!! lol.

3rd July 08 @ 3:25pm

I had a phone call from TenPin yesterday appologising for the faffage, and offering me some free vouchers. Still very quiet on the job front, but I did notice I screwed up royally with the CVs I sent out ... they all had my Leeds address on. *EPIC FAIL*

1st July 08 - Evening/Night

Good News and Bad News today. The good news is that I have passed my year with 105 credits (failed two modules). Most of my module grades weren't wonderful (being honest ... most of them sucked), so I really want to get better. This means that come September I'll be studying in Kobe, Japan! ^_^

Bad News. Here's an email I've sent to TenPin (a bowling operator).

"Dear TenPin

I have just had one of the most stressfull and expensive moments (minute for minute) of the year trying to make a booking to bowl at your Telford bowl.

It started out simple enough; I made a booking through the website for three people for three games at a total cost of £4.50. I'll admit that here was where I made a mistake. I thought I'd booked it for tonight. We went up to be told that there was no booking made, and asked if we'd printed the confirmation sheet. I said that I'd go home to double check it and borrow a printer to print it out, but was warned that the alley was pretty fully booked and was closing at 11.30.

After getting back home and checking my email I noticed that I had no booking confirmation email, no registration email, no acknowledgement that I'd done anything on tenpin.co.uk. I logged back in, thinking that my registration confirmation must surely be recorded ... no. Once again nothing to indicate that I'd made a booking, and therefore nothing to print out.

I then went through the early stages of booking it again, but then noticed that tonight was fully booked according to the website. It was then I realised I must have booked it for tomorrow. Grabbing my Yellow Pages, I found the number for Tenpin so I could call and double check, only to be told by an answering machine that I couldn't speak to someone that way and had to call a national rate phone number. As I had to use my mobile-phone I was getting annoyed and angered that you wanted me to spend 35p per minute just to double check a booking.

Having been sent around in circles through your automated phone systems (via 0871-8733150 and 0871-5501010), being disconnected several times and ending up talking to a girl working in "Chelmsford" (by the way, you may wish to reconfigure "Telford" as a voice command as I was constantly given "Chelmsford" and "Coventry" as options), I was beginning to stress out.

Eventually after about 20 minutes (and around £7 of phone credit) I managed to finally talk to someone at the Telford bowl who could confirm that the booking was for tomorrow.

Telford Superbowl used to be a very simple place to both book and phone to confirm this, that and the other. Unfortunately since TenPin has taken over, a lot of ... common sense seems to have left with it. Am I annoyed at the extra £7 I've had to spend? Yes. The bowling is now costing me £11.50 (which I'm well aware is cheaper than booking it offline) instead of £4.50, just over 2.5 times the amount.

Please sort yourselves out, or at least let the individual alleys keep a phone number going."
